Beaver Creek Welcomes New Principal

 

Mrs. Harrison is thrilled to be joining Beaver Creek as the new principal! She has heard so many wonderful things about the staff and students and is excited to become part of the Beaver Creek team.

A little bit about Mrs. Harrison: She lives in the district with her husband, Mike, and their two sons, Mikey and Cooper. Mike is a learning support teacher at Uwchlan Hills, where both boys also attend school. Mikey will be entering fourth grade this year, and Cooper will be entering second grade. Their family stays busy with the boys' sports schedules and activities and loves to travel. Their favorite summer destination is Wildwood Crest, New Jersey, where they enjoy bike rides, mini golf, and long days at the beach. They are also avid Philadelphia sports fans and try to attend as many Phillies games as possible.

Professionally, this marks Mrs. Harrison's 20th year in education. Most recently, she served as the principal of Penn London Elementary School in the Avon Grove School District. Prior to that role, she was an assistant principal at both Penn London Elementary School and Avon Grove Intermediate School, gaining administrative experience across grades K–6. Before moving into administration, she taught third and fourth grade and enjoyed working with students in each of her various roles.

Mrs. Harrison believes that school should be a positive, welcoming environment where students and staff are excited to come each day. She values collaboration and working together as a team to help everyone grow. One of her primary goals for this school year is to get to know the outstanding staff, students, and families at Beaver Creek while learning about the school community and finding meaningful ways to support Beaver Creek as a positive learning environment for all.

Mrs. Harrison is incredibly excited for the upcoming school year and looks forward to meeting everyone, building relationships, and working together to make it a wonderful year. She hopes everyone is having a relaxing and enjoyable summer and looks forward to seeing everyone soon!
